Collision at Footscray West leaves rider in serious condition

A bicycle rider Campbell Beck aged about years collided with a milk cart driven by W. Singleton at the corner of Barkly and Ashley streets Footscray West Friday morning. Beck was admitted to Montpelier Hospital with abdominal injuries. Singleton reported the horse slipped on a greasy bitumen road as Beck approached. Witnesses have not been located.

Non-Resident Council Employees in Braybrook Shire Debate

Ballarat Road Collision Involving Three Cars

A Saturday Ballarat road crash near Sunshine involved Ernest Percy Wellman driving east in a jeepful car. A jinker swung into the road to avoid a stationary vehicle, forcing Wellman to brake and collide as he tried to re-enter, injuring the jinker occupants who were later aided by bystanders. Mr Greig witnessed the event and died the following afternoon.

Old time music social at PAROS draws lodge members

Visitors from other lodges attend the PAROS social on Thursday night. A new member joins, averaging one new member per night over six months. Mrs. Dobson of Hampshire Road had her bag stolen at St Pauls Melbourne during devotions. the Verger recovered the receptacle but the 17/8 contained inside was missing. Dr. R. McKay, President of the Shire, calls a public meeting on Wednesday 20 October at 4 p.m. in the Shire Hall to discuss forming an Unemployed Relief Committee following citizen representations.
