St Albans Meeting Seeks Water Supply and Memorial Cross
St Albans residents attended the monthly Progress Association at Mechanics Hall to press for a Municipal water supply for the western suburbs. A deputation was sent to the Electricity Commissioner, with plans for a Taylor Road crossing memorializing the Hume and Hovell centenary. The meeting noted declining membership and urged financial support to sustain activities. Also reported were accidents at Boundary Road and local quarries, plus a cricket match against Sunbury and a cabbage party at Mechanics Hall to aid the tennis club.
