Agnes Drennen, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Angus Drennen Sunshine, married Leo George Quinn son of Mrs Williamson Swan Street Ichowood at Albion Methodist Church on Saturday November 4. The couple, attended by Betty Drennen Mernda Quinn, left with Major L MacLennan and Mrs J Harraden in attendance. earlier ceremony at South Yarra linked East House and Jack Alexander marriage featured gowns azalea veil and bouquets. Honeymoon planned for Lorne after a reception at Rainbow Room South Yarra with about 100 guests.

The Patriotic Fund monthly meeting chaired by Dr Parsons due to the President’s illness reviewed Red Cross and Greece gown requests. The Victorian Division reported 3000 dressings for Greece’s new war wounded and children, to be completed by month end. donations and direct-giving apps were noted, with £50 monthly Red Cross and ACP gifts and a £200 grant to ACL headquarters.

Presbyterian Ladies' Guild Scots Fair Annual Event

The Presbyterian Ladies' Guild announces the Annual Scots Fair in Sonshine Town Hall on Saturday the 18th with dainty articles for sale and no coupons. Larceny Charge Over Ammunition At Oakleigh Works

Michael Chabenee Turner of Oakleigh faced a larceny charge for stealing two calibre rounds of ammunition valued at £5 14s from LC continu ont Dioee Park. Turner admitted taking the ammunition and selling it to Hocking for £1 0s 0d. The court fined him £10 with one month in jail in default. Assistant manager Edwin Tretoar testified the works suffered significant losses from theft.

Deer Park Mothers Club Celebrates Visiting Day Success

At a Mothers' Club meeting on November Mr Tyley on behalf of himself and Miss King thanked the mothers for co operation with the star in making the parents' Visiting day at the school a pleasing success. The club faced the resignation of its secretary but filled temporarily. Some members are making soft toys for the school may treat and more volunteers are welcome. At the next meeting final arrangements for the club's part in the school break up will be made, so all members are asked to attend.
