Noxious Trades Site Debate at Dray Shire Council Meeting
The Dray Shire Council held a special meeting on Monday night to debate the proposed noxious trades market site. Councillors McKay Tilburn Glendenning and Ravenhall led objections to the Maribyrnong river northern site citing winds, traffic, drainage, railway access, and impact on Sunshine. Sunshine supporters urged staying with or moving to the western site. The council voted to oppose the northern site and seek amendments to extend the site westward and adjust boundaries, with adjournment following the decision.
