The Noxious Tradesman's Daughter 7 and a Twinned Heiress
A terse memoir set in Footscray and Ballarat Road follows a bank clerk who joins Fore ure and Qovecdrafta Ltd. He recounts a decade of banking routine, envy of the leisure class, and a rare rise alongside Zechariah Jones and his daughters Girofle and Giroffa. The narrator, wary of romance, becomes entangled with Girofle, observes family dynamics, motor rides, and hints at a growing personal experiment with distillation while enjoying a life he once deemed unattainable. The tale blends social ascent, unreliable self-perception, and a tentative romance amid industrial settings and suburban escapades.
