Last Saturday night at King Edward Avenue Mr and Mrs W Smith welcomed Queen of Heather's committee for a packed house party with dancing, games, and community singing. Supper was served by the ladies. A programme of upcoming events includes dances, Five Hundred, a community concert, table tennis, handicaps, and a monster bazaar.

Unusual Accident Death Claims Braybrook Man
William Henry Wanders of Burke Street Braybrook died after a dog he was handling caused him to fall on his head on a stone. The 55 year old, a respected Braybrook resident involved in local public and sporting matters, died at home Tuesday night. Funeral was Wednesday at Footscray Cemetery with Nelson Bros in charge. He leaves a widow and seven children: Robert, Martha, Reg, Mick, William, Lottie, Ada, and Carrie.
