The Sun shine and District United Friendly Societies Dispensary plans a new building in Sun Cres cent. Braybrook Council declined to remove trees blocking light and traffic. A deputation to revisit the issue will be heard at the next Council meeting. the dispensary serves 1200 members.
Prizes were distributed at the Sunshine Presbyterian Sabbath School on Saturday evening. The program featured young artists showcasing new talents, organized under secretary Mr. Ken Schmidt. Presenters included Misses B Garde Annie Thompson and Messrs A Neyland John Thompson with musical accompaniments by B Garde and Lorna Andrawartha. Mr A McKinnon Gallacher assisted by Mrs W Evans made the presentations.
Local and General Pastor H G Brice is to be farewelled at a social in Sunshine Baptist hall on Monday. The event is organized by church members and allied groups as Brice takes charge of Wonthaggi Baptist Church.
Keilor-St Albans Water Trust intimates Braybrook Shire Council that its cheque toward the trust liabilities has been received amid cautious confirmation from local officials. Dr Dempster questions official receipt while Dr Dedrick urges expeditious finalisation. motion to expedite passes unanimously.
At a Braybrook Council meeting the previously blocked plan for a plumpton to allow greyhound coursing in Tottenham was reconsidered. Dr. Lowe reported visible activity, councillors seeking officer investigation, and a Public Health Department letter offering cooperation. Builder A M Hansen thanked the council for its consideration of the plumpton plan.

A motor cycle accident on Ballarat Road left Mr. F. Stein with a broken arm and head injuries. he is hospitalized in Melbourne. The Pro gs Association meets Tuesday to discuss the water scheme, with Liabilities discharged and support from the Melbourne board of works. Community events include a 500 tournament and dance for the Mothers' Club and a 6500 aggregate event by Errington Reserve Committee, plus a confirmation service at St Albans Church on May 7 conducted by Bishop Booth.
Late Sunday a cycler warned Kingsville police of a body near Commonwealth Quarry, claiming a suicide. Constables Power and Brealy searched fruitlessly then, facing a hostile mob at dusk, fled along Pesnees to safety with torches and blue metal. The cyclist feared retaliation if he returned to the pair.
