St Albans Campaigns Show Tepid Interest as Polling Near
In St Albans two election meetings drew small audiences despite UAP candidate H O White and Country Party speaker Ryan addressing residents. A Saturday charity event for Boy Scouts followed by a euchre party raised funds. Local quarry closures caused job losses, a new Albany Saint Albans road surface was completed, and upcoming Harvest Festival services at St Albans and Deer Park were announced with Rev A Stanway and Rev A J Dyer presiding. Gift groceries and produce will decorate the church and later be donated to children’s homes.
