Technical School News Reports On Council Meeting And School Defects
The fronting day meeting of the school council chaired by J L Scot heard concerns about plaster cracking and flaking in classrooms, and fencing and workshop roofing needing attention. A visit to Richardson Gears impressed apprentices, while inspectors assessed the junior day school. The W B Trapp first aid shield was presented to the girls, and St Johns Ambulance representatives attended. An address by Mr Pussell sparked a junior red cross branch. Student numbers remain stable, though local employment prospects for graduates lag. The resignation of Mr Jonen from the council was accepted with thanks.
