A Sunshine Court hearing on an ejectment action highlights the Sustenance Act's impact on unemployed tenants. The owner seeks eviction after 12 months’ rent arrears while the tenant argues state support implications require investigation, prompting calls to involve inspectors and MPs for redress.

About forty residents of Tinytown Sunshine gathered June 29 to surprise Mr and Mrs Badman. The couple received a silver rose bowl engraved from The Folks of Tinytown Sunshine and thanked friends from their Burnley home at 52 Swan Street.

A red kelpie sheep and cattle dog valued at £10 was stolen from Mr. J. Govett of Deer Park. Govett manages Deer Park for Mr. Bullen and reported the loss on June 28. Senior Constable McDonald of Sunshine is handling inquiries. call with any information. At London College of Music exams Miss Olive White earned the Associate Diploma while Merle Ellingsen and Jean Lowe gained Honors in Elementary.
The fortnightly Sunshine A.L.P. discussed fund raising via a crossword competition and appointed managers. It urged attendance for preselection ballots, debated War Service Homes Commission issues, and scheduled a special organising meeting at the Picture Theatre on July 15. A convict demanding an interview attracted attention, and a sixpence badge promotes the appeal.
Mr W E Jones manager of the Sunshine branch of the Bank of New South Wales retires after 45 years service with seven in Sunshine. Customers and friends gathered at the bank for a presentation by Mr W R McKay who praised his tact and courtesy. Gifts included binoculars a cutlery case and a gold chronometer. Speakers included Dr G Pennell Dr A Macon and others. Jones spoke of banking care and wisdom amid a difficult mood and expressed optimism for Sunshine and a Birmingham of Australia. A further complimentary banquet is planned at the Stock Exchange Club on July 14 and his new address is 41 Clarke Avenue Caulfield.
