The St Albans Progress Association met with a large turnout and endorsed Mr A Clarke as their candidate for Keilor Council elections in August. Dr J H Stevens and Clarke presented municipal policies while Clarke’s vote was described as not binding on his own polling decisions.
Miss M Craddock captain of the Sunshine Ladies Cricket Club has been selected by Victorian Women's Basketball Association to play in inter state matches in Adelaide from August 28 to September 3. Donations acknowledged to Footscray and District Out Patient and Welfare Centre include gifts from Drakeford Disney Johnson Michaelis Kinnear Sons Syme Braybrook Shire Council Footscray All Aboard Club Ketchell and others. A death, Mrs Wynham of Hertford Road Sunshine, followed a short illness. she was mother to footballer Jack Wynham of Ballarat and sister to Bill Wynham long associated with Brook Football Club.
The Shire of Braybrooky held a complimentary hall event for Cr and Mrs Parsons in which oblations were sent as appreciation for their municipal service. Ex-Cr Skewes presented the cheque and money was returned to be given to the Ladies Benevolent Society.
