Former Sunshine resident earns OBE in New Year Honors

A former Sunshine resident, Mr Andrew Small, has been awarded the Order of the British Empire in the New Year Honors. Now living in South Australia, he serves as Chief of the Royal Caledonian Society of South Australia and organized the Caledonian Pipe Band. He has supported Scottish migrants and provided patriotic service.

Efforts to Get Pram Buses Successful

The Tramways Board chairman informed Dr. A E Shepherd MLA that pram bus requests have received full consideration and traffic checks. On select trips on certain days, buses will be reserved for mothers with prams on Moonee Ponds and Sunshine services, with ongoing review.

Recognised as a modern outfit in Australia the Wirths Silver Circus will perform tonight and Saturday on the Railway Reserve opposite the Shire Hall after the Railway Department granted the location following input from Shire President Dr. A Beachley.
