Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day Legend Told
A historic piece recalls St Patrick as Scotland’s emigrant figure with ties to Noah’s Ark legends, noting his life from kidnapping as a boy on Ireland’s West Coast to years as a missionary bishop, and his death after decades of exile from Bonnie Scotland. It mentions how Irish memory elevates Patrick as the teacher of Christianity and guardian against snakes.
