Obituary of J C Hjorth of Sunshine Australia
Obituary notices the 73 year old J C Hjorth of Li Lan yon Street Sunshine who died January 31 at Prince Henrys Hospital after a short illness born Coimadai predeceased by wife 40 years ago. He was a farmer then a Sunshine resident for 25 years and a member of the A S P Sunshine Branch and the Dads Association. He leaves three sons and two daughters. Interment at Melton Cemetery February 1 with casket carried by sons Anders John Frederick and son in law Raymond Jones pall bearers led by Ralph Hjorth and relatives. Rev Father Gavan Duffy of Bacchus Marsh officiated. Le Pine and Sons arranged the funeral.

Man's Hand Crushed At Factory Amputations Follow
Charles Hone of Jackson Street Maidstone suffered a severe crush injury to his left hand when caught in machinery at the Maribyrnong Exposives factory yesterday. He was admitted to Royal Melbourne Hospital where two fingers were amputated.

Braybrook Young People's Social and Educational Club Meet
The Braybrook Young People's Social and Educational Club held its first meeting on February 5 at Mrs Wemyss's Treloar Crescent home. Office-bearers elected included K Stevens president and Miss M Decent secretary, with other officers named and a committee formed. A parade day is set for February 16 at Shire Hall Sunshine, sponsored by the East Sunshine Branch of the OWA, and a general meeting will be at Bebsen Crescent Hall East Sunshine on February 21 at 7:00 pm inviting attendance.
