In River Riding Cr A G Pennell lost to ex Cr G E Dobson, while Dobson, a former council member, defeated Dr W J Pridham who had briefly held the seat. Dr Diverge Baker won Southern Riding as retirement opened a spot, with Mrs Mellie Davidson helping the ASP banner. Maribyrnong Riding saw F E Jolly defeat Alf Clarke at Sydenham, and Tullamarine Riding retained Dr Harry Hilbert. Final tallies were not included.
