Close Finish Decides Maribyrnong Club Open Trophy

Leo Fisher edged EF Nicholls by one ounce to win the Maribyrnong opening trophy last Sunday. Several members used river worm baits late in the day as the winner caught on this bait at a steep bank. The club cancels all sports nights with other clubs due to a paralysis epidemic, including Essendon on August 23 and Williamstown on August 24. Tenders are set for the official club conveyance for the season, promising comfort on competition days.
