At Albion School at 3 p.m. Mr Polson declined to introduce Mr Seymour, who spoke of Anzac Day memories. Returned soldiers’ children lined the front and many displayed their fathers' medals. The service opened with flag salutes and a special Anzac hymn. Mr Seymour noted wreaths from previous Anzac Day.

Deer Park breeders win prizes at Sydney Show
Mr Salmond, famed Black Leghorn breeder, returned from the Sydney Show with multiple awards including first and champion for team, first and champion for standard pullet, first and champion for utility pullet, plus second and third for cockerel. Obituary: J Waite caretaker dies at 72 in Footscray
The death of Mr J Waite aged 72 occurred April 19 at the Salvation Army Hall Footscray where he suddenly collapsed. He leaves a wife, five married daughters, and an adopted son Willie Waite. Funeral was at Footscray cemetery on April 20 with Adjutant Oakley in charge and Sunshine Salvation Army Band.
