WVU Governors Liberalize Vacation and Sick Leave Policy

West Virginia University's Board of Governors approved new sick leave and vacation benefits for about 8,000 non academic employees and authorized a temporary steel building for a $2.5 million Computer Center. Joseph C. Gluck was named dean of Student Educational Services. The plan includes one and a half paid sick days per month after one year, with an 18 day sick leave balance, and three weeks of vacation per year after nine years. A new temporary home for the third generation computer will rise on 60 acres off Chestnut Ridge Road, later replaced by a central WVU physical plant complex.
