Welfare Conference debates funding and broadened participation
A conference session discussed the lack of funds for an executive secretary to coordinate welfare efforts. Speaker Victor Schneider urged broadening participation, and the motion passed with no dissent. Edwin Flowers and Henry Ruppenthal III praised the decision, while advocates urged clearer goals and direct engagement with political leaders to improve social welfare services. Carl Anderson noted improved understanding between old and new members.
