Bedding Plant Troubles and Soil Mix Tips

Preparing Soil For Flower Beds Improves Garden Health
Time spent preparing soil prevents many garden problems. A loamy soil with rich inorganic matter and good drainage is ideal for annuals and perennials. Work in a complete fertilizer like 5-10-10 or 10-10-14 at 2 to 3 pounds per 100 square feet and add four to five pounds per 100 square feet of superphosphate. Lime only if soil tests show a deficiency.
