Greene County Schools History Summary Ends With Milestones
Editor notes this is the second in a Carmichaels correspondent series on Greene County School superintendents. It records abolition of the office this year, profiles early superintendents from 1861 to 1890, notes their backgrounds at Waynesburg College and Greene Academy, and highlights reforms such as diplomas, graded coursework, and standardized teacher reporting. The piece includes brief notices of later figures and a Bobtown dance for ambulance funds, then a 1946 atomic test reference.
