Thieu warns on war escalation if talks fail
South Vietnam President Thieu, in an interview with Oriana Fallaci, said the United States and South Vietnam should step up war if peace talks fail, potentially including an invasion of North Vietnam. The interview, recorded Dec 30, was published with Kissinger’s remarks in The New Republic and is part of a broader dispute over the pace and terms of negotiations.
