The Ames Works in Chicopee finish the Washington door for the new Capitol, after two years of work designed by Crawford. The eight panel door shows peace and war scenes including Washington with his family, Trenton, oath administration, corner stone laying, and on the war side the Bayonet Charge at Trenton and Washington rebuking General Lee.
