San Clemente High joins national gun control march

About 1,500 people including students, teachers, and residents marched along Avenida Del Mar in San Clemente in support of gun control as part of March for Our Lives. Survivors Kami Haggarty and Blake from Parkland spoke, along with San Clemente students Jackson Hinkle and Sutton Loughran. The rally followed a March 14 walkout with over 1,000 students, commemorated the Parkland victims, and pushed for safer schools and more funding for counselors. Patricia Holloway’s school safety resolution gains momentum and may be placed on the next Capistrano Unified board agenda.
