Kion Leonardo Beatty, 26, of Rocky Run Road, New Bern, faces an open murder count in the death of 22 year old Deandre Tyshawn Surles of Albacore Lane. Surles was found Sept 10 off Staten Road in a wooded area after a missing person report.
