Gold Star family attends White House event honoring fallen soldier
Britt Harris of Fort Bragg attended a Gold Star event at the White House on Sept 27 honoring 25 families who lost loved ones in combat. Her husband Spc. Chris Harris died Aug 2 2017 in Afghanistan. The ceremony included a private White House tour, a reading of his biography, and a meeting with President Trump as Harris speaks of their daughter Christian and their family’s ongoing work aiding fellow Gold Star families. Harris hopes to pursue psychology studies to help soldiers with trauma and uses her platform to educate on Gold Star families.
