Pulp Fiction review notes Tarantino flair and flaws
A Cannes audience favorite, Pulp Fiction blends sharp dialogue and graphic violence. The piece praises Jackson, Travolta, and Tarantino while criticizing racial stereotypes, outlining intertwined vignettes with Honey Bunny and Pumpkin, Butch, and Mia as they collide in a coffee shop, a bar, and Marcellus Wallace's world. The review notes wild energy, clever humor, and a standout overdosed danger scene, with a Cannes win and a New Bern Southgate screening.
