James Quimby Wallace III a longtime Morehead City attorney and Carteret County public defender died October 23 2019 in Morehead City NC He was 66 Born May 15 1953 in Morehead City he earned a political science degree from NC State and a law degree from Campbell Law School He practiced law from 1981 including private practice 1983 2007 and served as Carteret County Chief Public Defender from 2007 until his death He is survived by his wife Betty Ann Wallace and children James Quimby Wallace IV and Mary Kathleen Wallace The funeral is October 26 2019 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church Morehead City with visitation 12:30 to 1:30 pm Burial at Gethsemane Memorial Park Arrangements handled by Brooks Funeral Home and Crematory
