Pamlico County man gets four years in murder plot case
Merritt resident John Alan Edwards pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and aiding and abetting conspiracy in Craven County and Pamlico County cases. He blamed severe mood disorders for his actions and said he was thankful a hired gunman did not take him up on the offer.
