New York Wins Grand National Teams After Tough Last Deal
New York clinches the Grand National Teams title after a late four hearts contract and a tense defense by Ohio. The final positions saw New York North-South needing a sharp misdirection and precise signals, with Cayne and Sontag leading the play against opponents including Berkowitz and Cohen. The match swings on the last deal as Cayne discards smartly, sealing New York’s first GNT victory despite earlier strength of depth claimed by Ohio.
