Maps redraw affects all seven districts in school board plan
New district maps prepared by Tharrington and Smith of Raleigh respond to the 10 year census by creating changes in all seven districts. Districts 2 and 6 led by Linda Thomas and Kim Smith are altered but no current member is drawn from their district. Wayne Beasley notes the changes apply to electing school board members and do not alter school district lines.
