Supreme Court rejects Ten Commandments case

The high court refused to hear an appeal by Richland County Common Pleas Judge James DeWeese over a poster of the Ten Commandments in his Mansfield courtroom. A federal judge ordered removal in 2009 after rulings found the display unconstitutional. DeWeese had posted a "Censored" label above the poster, which was hung in 2006 following a 2000 ruling. The ACLU of Ohio Foundation sued, and the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the display endorsed religion.
