County and BOE clash over Craven schools plan B
A September 29 Craven County meeting exposed sharp disagreements between commissioners and the Board of Education over moving Craven County Schools to Plan B hybrid learning. Plan B starts next week for some students with staggered schedules and remote Wednesday. Plan C to Plan B transitions include October dates for EC and traditional students.

MumFest retools as five weekend street festival in New Bern
MumFest renamed MumFeast begins Friday in downtown New Bern with a scaled back five weekend, pedestrian event. Swiss Bear and the city plan limited outside participation from 5 p.m. Friday to 9 30 p.m. Saturday, closing sections of Middle Pollock and Craven streets and featuring 19 restaurants, shops and about 13 street booths.
