Pecan farmers report strong yields despite storms and drought

Despite droughts and hurricanes disrupting much of the area, ENC farmers report a good yield for pecans according to a release from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Local pecan producers say a strong year supports use of local ingredients for holiday meals and pecan pies.
