First Women Marines Parade Cake at Veterans Day Event

Brenda Monroe, 20, a native of Flagstaff Arizona and MWSS-274 motor transport mechanic, paraded the uniform worn by the first women in the Marine Corps in 1943. The cake-cutting ended with Master Sgt. Mike Savage, 50, and Lance Cpl. Kenneth Williams, 19, receiving the first slices as generals Rhodes and McCorkle watched. Marines were urged to return from 96 hour Veterans Day leaves safely.

Jury set to hear high profile pandering case Monday
