The Associated Press poll of 1,006 adults taken Oct 28 to Wed shows 42 percent of all adults and 38 percent of voters say it matters little which party controls Congress. Among voters 30 percent favor Republicans and 30 percent favor Democrats to lead Capitol Hill while 45 percent would vote Democratic and 38 percent Republican.

Court finds bias in selection of Superior Court judges

A U S District Court judge ruled that the current nominating and statewide election system discriminates against African Americans and Republicans. Judge James Fox ordered that eight contested Superior Court races be decided by voters in their home districts on Tuesday. He said the system excluded certain groups and promoted a party agenda, and noted it would enable Republicans to elect judges in District 3B.
