Ex Marine caught in uproar of military gay policy
Kevin Blaesing, once Marine of the Month and a top corporal at Goose Creek, says he was pushed from active duty after a 1993 counseling session about homosexuality. He alleges harassment by his commander and bias in re-enlistment ratings amid the shift to the Dont Ask Dont Tell policy, now in doubt. He remains in Charleston, serving in the Marine Reserves and contemplating college.
