Janet Francoeur and John Aylward received Entrepreneur of the Year and Small Business Person of the Year honors at a banquet hosted by the Service Corps of Retired Executives Craven Community College and the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce. Francoeur, owner of Janet Francoeur Fine Art, has grown her Carolina Creation shop on Middle Street and signed a distribution deal with an Ohio company. Aylward Enterprises, moved from New Jersey to New Bern in 1988, plans a 5000 square foot expansion, $1 million in new equipment and ten more employees as it grows its pharmaceutical packaging line. Both leaders engage in community charities.
