Rural Cove City Cable Cut Brings Lower Rates Ahead
Hometown Cable slashes basic package price to 14.95 for 16 channels serving Cove City and plans to expand to Trenton. Owner Tony Colston says reduced profits and lower overhead enable service to sparsely populated Craven Jones and Pamlico counties, especially for seniors on fixed incomes. Other providers Multimedia Cablevision Time Warner raise rates while offering larger lineups to Craven and surrounding areas. Municipal and military communities near Cherry Point see varying pricing and channel options.
