NC Man Linked to Dark Web Faces Two More Jail Days
A North Carolina man identified as Yazid Al Fayyad Finn from Cary was sentenced in Rutland federal court to time served since his February 2018 arrest plus two days. He pleaded guilty to plotting in January 2016 to steal nearly 200 pounds of counterfeit Xanax pills valued at 1.6 million dollars, with pills dragged across the border by a Quebecer later caught by Border Patrol. Finn apologized in court as a memo described him as a shy, introverted geek who turned to importing drugs via the dark web.
