USSF says hostile crowds make men’s soccer a different job
The U S Soccer Federation argues in federal court filings that facing hostile crowds in Mexico and Central America makes men’s national team play a different job from the women’s team and that men bear more responsibility. A spokeswoman for the women called the claim outdated as the women seek over 66 million dollars in damages under the Equal Pay Act and Civil Rights Act. The suit is set for trial May 5.
