Italian slam bid and failed play in bridge deal
Two Italians were North and South in a bridge deal where South jumped to six spades. West led club king, declarer misplayed after winning first trick, and East sidestepped with a trump switch. South could not force the 12th trick as diamonds and trumps misfired, leaving the slam unmade.
