New Bern approves mobile concert stage purchase
The New Bern Board of Aldermen approved buying a 24 by 20 foot mobile concert stage built by Progressive Products for 132 065 dollars to replace the Union Point Park structure lost in Hurricane Florence. The unit can extend to 32 feet and be moved for city events, funded by hurricane proceeds. Aldermen voiced strong support as Hughes projected a matter of weeks to install and noted plans for summer film showings and community events amid COVID 19 restrictions.
