Craven CC Names David L Ward Jr Hall In Honor Of Founder
Craven Community College trustees voted to name David L Ward Jr Hall, honoring its longest serving college attorney. Ward served from 1968 to 2019 and mentored five presidents, with Ward and Smith sponsoring the Foundation’s Community Fabric Awards for a decade. The hall, on the New Bern campus, houses the Academic Support Center and Student Lounge. A dedication is planned later this summer.
