Declarer Play Problem in Four Hearts Aboard Airmail Letter
In a four hearts contract after a weak two spade jump by South, East leads spades. South ruffs second spade, cashes a top trump, and finesses diamond queen. East exits a spade, South ruffs, and plays clubs to dummy. East holds king in clubs preventing the play, and after ruffing the second spade in hand the line requires trumps and a diamond to dummy’s king to reach the extra trick. East’s defense yields the down result with correct play.
