Berrigan given eight months for jet damage at base

Antiwar activist Philip Berrigan received eight months in federal prison for damaging an F 15E jet at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Judge Terrence Boyle credited seven months already served. Berrigan will do one more month in jail and four months home confinement. Other Pax Christi Spirit of Life Plowshares protesters received varied sentences including John Dear 4 1/2 months and home confinement, Bruce Enedeich 15 months, and Lynn Frederiksson 14 months.
