Mixed emotions for Jimmie Allen first black country No 1
Jimmie Allen spoke of pride and sadness after becoming the first Black artist to debut a country career with a No 1 single on country radio with Best Shot. He recalled tough early days in Nashville and the desire for future Black artists to face no barriers. He aims to top the charts again with Make Me Want To while reflecting on the journey from sleeping in a car to touring nationwide.
