Oldest VMGR-252 Faces Big Task Across Missions
Cherry Point unit VMGR-252 is the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron the oldest continuously active in the Marine Corps. Since 1928 it has evolved through many redesignations and delivered aerial refueling, humanitarian aid, and cargo/Marines movements worldwide, setting altitude and freefall records along the way. Led by Lt. Col. Bruce E. Bronars, the squadron continues to provide in-flight refueling, medical evacuations, and global operations with KC-130 aircraft.
