Hatteras Island rescuers free entangled humpback whale
A 32 foot humpback entangled in a fishing net was freed by seven Hatteras Island rescue volunteers after about two and a half hours of careful cutting. Lou Browning 39 of Frisco dove underwater to slice away rope leaving a 10 foot tail line. The whale swam off toward other nearby whales.
