North Carolina couple praise Turkish child care culture

New Bern residents Mayo and Alderman Max Freeze traveled in Turkey as hosts for a Turkish exchange student family. She noted scarce child abuse and out of wedlock births, yet saw street vending by children and families relying on kids for income. The trip inspired efforts to share Turkish practices with local groups and to send educational materials to Bursa region via Rep. Martin Lancaster.
